Adding Calendar Events and Using the Thrive Listserv

To add events to the Thrive calendar:

Thrive members are eligible to add their events to the online calendar. Format your information as in the example below. Be sure to include the days, dates, times, locations and descriptions of your events, as well as email links or website references for more information. Keep your description brief. Send this information to info@thrivealliance.org, with "Calendar of Events" in the subject line, and your events will be posted.

Day, Date, Times and Name of the Event go here
The location of the event goes here, along with a brief description. Include website and/or email addresses to go for more information, and a link to registration if registration is required. Be sure to include the cost of the event and any discounts that are available to Thrive members.

To use the Thrive listserv:

Anyone who is a registered, paid member of Thrive is automatically in the listserv database. To send out an email to all other registered, paid members, all you need do is type members@thrivealliance.org in the "To" address line in your email program, and your email will go out to the membership.

If you registered, but have not yet paid, your email address is not in the database, and your email will not be sent out. As soon as you pay for your membership and are approved, your email address will automatically be entered into the database. If you are an employee of a registered, paid member, but your email address is not in the system and you want to be in on the listserv, do the following:

1) Go to thrivealliance.org and click on the Join Thrive link,
2) Choose the ADD option in the registration process,
3) Select your organization from the pull-down list, and
4) Complete the registration process (you will not be charged).

An approval request letter will go out to the primary member on your account. As soon as that person bounces back the approval, you will be in the listserv database.
