Current Affordable Housing Opportunity Info Session

Join Thrive as we spotlight the Housing Industry Foundation’s new Affordable Housing Initiative!

The Housing Industry Foundation (HIF), a nonprofit agency in San Mateo that seeks to prevent homelessness via emergency housing support and shelter renovation projects, recently launched a new program designed to match working families & individuals with below market rate units with a focus on teachers, nonprofit professionals and other public workers in Santa Clara & San Mateo County.

HIF matches qualified candidates, particularly those in the education, nonprofit, and community sector to affordable housing

12-months of below market rate rentals/units (after pilot completion, possibly two years or more)

Applicants must fall in the 50-80% AMI (Average Median Income). Households that are close to this range, will be considered depending on circumstances and overall financial picture

Monthly savings: $700 - $1,400
Yearly savings: $8,000 - $15,000
