The Director of Case Management (DCM) is responsible for leadership of Caminar’s San Mateo regional case management programs (REACH, FSP, New Ventures, WRAP) as well as its supported housing services. The DCM is a member of the regional senior leadership team and is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and programs that will contribute to overall success. The DCM acts as a liaison with government agencies, the community and the public relative to funding, contracts and delivery of services. The DCM supervises staff both directly and indirectly through intermediary supervisors.
The person who holds this position will become or be a state certified ombudsman with supervisory responsibilities for a group of field ombudsman. The regional coordinator will work towards meeting the facility coverage plan within the area assigned to him/her, and will supervise/monitor the field ombudsmen in the performance of their duties.
The Part Time Social Worker will provide intake assessments and care management services for a therapeutic day program. The Rosener House Adult Day Services program serves older adults who are physically, cognitively, and/or emotionally impaired. The social workers work with and refer families to appropriate community resources and services in order to enhance the participant's life and ease the family's stress of caregiving.
The Bilingual Spanish/English Clinical Consultant for the Senior Peer Counseling Program conducts supervision groups for volunteer senior peer counselors at Peninsula Family Service in San Mateo and at the Fair Oaks Adult Activity Center in Redwood City or other sites for 2 hours per session. Time may include set-up and individual consultation. This position is responsible for providing support and feedback to volunteer senior peer counselors who meet with isolated older adults in the community. Good communication skills in both languages is very important.
The LGBTQ+ Victim Advocate conducts meaningful community outreach and educational workshops about LGBTQ-specific domestic violence relationships; collaborates with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to increase awareness and access to services as well as promote positive outcomes for LGBTQ+ relationship abuse; and develops and disseminates information and resources within CORA and throughout the community. The LGBTQ+ Victim Advocate will be stationed at CORA’s Community Office, and will be expected to travel to and from the Transitional Housing apartments, Emergency Safe houses, and our Satellite locations as needed.
The Client Advocate provides crisis intervention, needs assessment and supportive counseling to emergency safe house residents, callers on the domestic violence hotline, as well as provides emergency telephonic response to referrals from local law enforcement. The Client Advocate is responsible for providing a safe and healthy environment and welcoming atmosphere for residents. Services provided are voluntary and include safety planning, peer counseling, case management, information and referral, and group facilitation.
The Residential Assistant is part of a team of professionals providing residential support for victims of domestic violence. The Residential Assistant ensures a safe and healthy living environment for clients, assists in shelter operations, and supports the immediate needs of families at CORA’s emergency shelter sites. The RA will provide support services to staff and clients at both shelter locations.

This is a new position and the clinician will be involved in program development. As the primary contact for referrals, they will provide comprehensive needs assessments for children who have witnessed domestic violence or endured other types of child abuse in conjunction with domestic violence. The Child Clinician will develop case plans that include individual therapy, family therapy, as well as group therapy, child development services, legal assistance, referrals to Victim Witness, or other resources as relevant.
The (Bilingual) Family Clinician will provide mental health assessments, individual, family, and group therapies to individuals and families who have been impacted by domestic violence. The (Bilingual) Family Clinician will be stationed at CORA’s Community Office, and will be expected to travel to and from the Transitional Housing apartments, Emergency Safe houses, and our Satellite locations as needed.
The Emergency Response Program (ERP) Specialist will support quality assurance, data collection, and quality improvement activities for CORA’s crisis intervention programs in collaboration with San Mateo County law enforcement agencies to ensure efficiency of systems that increase victim safety. This position requires a well-organized and self-directed individual capable of utilizing web-based systems and client databases for purposes of tracking and collating program statistics and outcomes.
The candidate selected will engage in a variety of counseling and prevention activities targeted at individuals and groups experiencing or at high risk for problems related to substance abuse and mental health issues in Spanish and English. The candidate will provide individual therapy, group therapy and case management. Applicants need to be comfortable working at a treatment program with clients with challenging issues, liaising with a client’s multi-disciplinary team, and working as part of a team at Archway. Ideally a clinician would have experience working with substance use as well as mental health issues.
Oversight of day to day operations of GIRLS Program outpatient treatment center serving adolescent girls with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. Coordinator is to provide individual, group, family and psycho-educational services for clients. Program Coordinator conducts intakes and assigns clients to clinician case loads and groups. Coordinator organizes officer of the day assignments. Coordinator oversees group therapy curriculums. Coordinator communicates with BHRS staff regarding groups and officer of the day assignments.
Our Early Childhood Services programs strive to foster healthy cognitive, emotional and social development for children birth through age five and their families. Under the direction of the ECMHC Program Manager, the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant/Clinician provides consultation to childcare centers and providers throughout San Mateo County and northern Santa Clara County to enhance the quality of childcare services and the accessibility to these services, especially for children with special needs and low-income families, as well as dyadic therapy services to children and parents.
The HMG Coordinator will be the primary resource for families and staff for questions regarding child development. They will have responsibility for taking calls from families and providers through the HMG Call Center, a designated phone line to help families and providers access services appropriate for their needs. In addition to answering questions about child development, they will be responsible for linking families and children to existing resources in San Mateo County and helping then navigate the system of care. They will also perform family and provider outreach.
The FRC Bilingual Coordinator provides parent-to-parent support to families of children with special needs to help them navigate the service system and become strong advocates for their children, with a specific emphasis on serving Spanish-speaking families. The FRC Bilingual Coordinator also works with agencies in San Mateo County to generate referrals for children eligible for early intervention services or Early Start Plus referrals. The FRC Bilingual Coordinator supports the efforts of the FRC and ESP grants at Community Gatepath.
Peninsula Family Service has operated the Senior Peer Counseling Program since 2008. The program, funded by San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, Sequoia Healthcare District and the Peninsula Healthcare District, provides support to lonely, isolated older adults in San Mateo County by matching trained and supervised peer volunteers to those who can benefit from the program. The program is charged with serving older adults who are underserved in this area, those who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Filipino, and the African American and LGBTQ older adult communities.
