Art Bias – Administrative Assistant

The mission of Art Bias is to be a community where artists have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. We provide artist studios, professional development events and resources, exhibition opportunities, and a thriving community of artists interested in each others’ success. Art Bias is located on the border of San Carlos and Redwood City and is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization with a 25 year history in servicing the Bay Area Peninsula.

We are accepting applications for a paid, part-time administrative assistant role to support the organization and its board of directors for 10 - 15 hours per week. Pay is commensurate with experience. Some work may be performed remotely.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee aspects of programs and events

  • File, scan, and archive digital/paper documents

  • Review financial documents for correctness

  • Update content on Squarespace website

  • Create content on social media

  • Coordinate volunteers

  • Facilitate fundraising efforts

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or other secretarial position

  • Fluency in English and capable of writing and speaking in professional manner

  • Proficiency in cloud-based productivity programs (GSuite, Box, etc.)

  • Ability to lift small weight (box of documents, chairs, etc.)

  • A love for art or a desire to help the arts grow in our area

  • Experience working for non-profits is a plus
