Ecumenical Hunger Program – Warehouse Lead

The Ecumenical Hunger Program is a non-profit agency which has provided emergency assistance (food, clothing, household essentials), and ongoing support services to families and individuals in East Palo Alto and the surrounding communities since 1975. Employee is responsible for assisting with pickups and general maintenance of EHP property maintenance.  Promote EHP’s values of compassion, integrity, empowerment, respect, sustainability, teamwork, with particular emphasis on respect, integrity, and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Supervise Warehouse staff and volunteers

  2. General oversight of warehouse

  3. Responsible for monthly distribution report

  4. and Community Closet appointment reports

  5. Coordinate time off requests and other staff issues to Human Resources

  6. Maintain log sheet of staff absences and tardies

  7. Responsible for organization of warehouse

  8. Maintain Front Desk area - including intake of clients

  9. Other related tasks

Note: In addition to the primary duties, other duties (e.g. supervision of volunteers, program assistance) will be required. The job description shall not be construed as a contract and is not a complete list of all miscellaneous, incidental or other duties which may be assigned during normal operations. Overtime will be required during certain times of the year

Required Skills/Experience

  1. Two plus years of supervisory duties or lead with multiple staff

  2. Knowledge of proper safety principles

  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills

  4. Ability to lift 10 pounds.

  5. Represent EHP in positive manner at all times to donors and the public.

Salary:

$19/hour
