This is a paid, part-time staff position for the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail, a 501(c)(3) organization. We’re looking for someone who has passion for our mission; previous experience in a leadership role in a nonprofit is highly desirable, but not required. Demonstrated success at fundraising from corporate donors is a strong plus. The executive director reports to the President of the Board of Directors and works with the entire Board but is not a member of the Board.
We promote community pride and involvement in the completion, enhancement and enjoyment of the Stevens and Permanente Creek Trails and Wildlife Corridors.
General duties and responsibilities:
Strategy and planning: determines key strategic objectives, produces an annual plan, updates board
Advocacy, outreach and community involvement: represents the organization, identifies opportunities to further goals, responsible for all marketing and social media promotions and materials
Program development, management and execution: defines and manages all programs, supervises the assistant director and any other employees/volunteers
Organization and fundraising development: manages all fund related projects, writes grant proposals, annual appeals, Trailblazer Race
Fiscal and administrative management: manages the budget, oversees accounting, prepares materials for board meetings
Effective public speaker with strong written and oral communication skills
Strategic planning and vision through robust leadership, and consensus building
Excellent people skills to ensure successful project completion
Self-starting, motivated and enthusiastic
