In this role, you will support Thrive Alliance’s policy and advocacy work, including our efforts to ensure a complete count in the 2020 Census and to drive increased voter participation in communities with traditionally low levels of civic participation. You will develop engagement strategies and work with local nonprofits that serve underrepresented populations in San Mateo. Your role will involve writing, meeting support, social media communications, data tracking, and some direct outreach. The role can be full-time or part-time; work hours are flexible. Some of the work can be done remotely.

The STAY FLY Program Lead Case Manager offers structured support and guidance to young adults while incarcerated at the Juvenile Hall in Alameda County and upon release back into the community. In addition to facilitating law workshops and helping young adults understand the rules of probation, case managers work with young adults to set goals around education, employment, and building life skills, in order to prevent recidivism.
The Career Pathways Navigator supports youth at Hayward Community School to pursue their academic and career development goals. The Navigator works with youth provide connections to basic needs, educational, and career resources within the county, guidance on education and career skill-building, and help in navigating the systemic challenges FLY youth face within the education system.
Redwood City 2020 is seeking an experienced Child Care Solutions Consultant to catalyze the improvement of affordable child care solutions in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks. The Child Care Solutions Consultant will be a dynamic individual who works in close partnership with the Executive Director, Redwood City 2020 team, and many community-based partners to lead this critical effort. This position is an opportunity to impact the future of innovative, cross-sector programs that serve young people and their families in the Redwood City and North Fair Oaks community.
This position will play a strategic role in our dynamic and vibrant organization. In partnership with the SafeSpace Board of Directors and the SafeSpace Youth Board, this individual will oversee and manage the SafeSpace programs. This individual will report directly to the SafeSpace Board.
As a valued member of our team, the Activity Leader works to provide recreational, social, educational activities in a busy, lively, positive environment in a state-of-the-art day center for impaired older adults. Activities may include leading movement exercises, arts & crafts, sensory stimulation, gardening, games, and many different avenues for musical expression. Creativity, sense of humor, enthusiasm and patience are required, as is sensitivity to the needs of older adults with challenges.
