The San Mateo Public Library Foundation (SMPLF) seeks a candidate for fundraising and administrative support for the nonprofit foundation located in San Mateo.
To provide technical assistance to child care and preschool program operators seeking to expand or open new programs in San Mateo County, under the umbrella of the Build Up initiative – a new initiative designed to grow and improve the supply of child care and preschool facilities in San Mateo County.
Under the leadership of the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the administrative operations of the department related to the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual, foundation, corporate prospects and donors, and special events. This role will also take the lead on the continued development and organizing special events, liaising with program staff on Club events, relationships with program staff, and administrating grants.

The Donor Relations Coordinator is the cornerstone of our excellent donor stewardship and an important member of a successful Advancement Team. The position is responsible for maintaining a clean and effective donor database, processing donations, and ensuring donors receive the highest level of stewardship possible, including as appropriate through phone and email contact. The position also supports the Advancement Team with events, writing projects, team initiatives, and support for the Vice President of Advancement, as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong analytic, writing, and communication skills. The position requires a results-oriented team player, and the ability to think on one’s feet.
The Development Associate is responsible for providing general support for all fund development activities. This is a temporary position working 15-18 hours a week. Flexibility in schedule provided. The selected candidate will start working in December 2018 and will need to commit to this job until May 15, 2019.
The Temporary Job Development Specialist works as a part of team that engages employers as partners in a spectrum of workforce readiness, job placement, and career pathway programs led by United Way Bay Area. This is a full-time, temporary, 6-month position between November 1st, 2018 – April 30, 2019, working 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position dependent on funding and performance.
