Thrive Translation Services Hub


Thrive Alliance is proud to announce the launch of a Translation Services Hub for nonprofits. This resource, made possible through the generous philanthropic support of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF), will provide nonprofits access to free language translation and interpretation services. 

Our vision for the local nonprofit sector is one that prioritizes community access by consistently and mindfully offering professional language translation and interpretation services for its programs and services. We want to create a culture of practice by making this top of mind, accessible, and affordable for nonprofits.

The vision for this pilot grew out of a SVCF-led Executive Director Workforce Shortage Roundtable Discussion facilitated by Thrive Alliance and Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN). Thrive has also conducted in-depth research on strategic alliances that shows local nonprofits are eager to share services across a variety of functions to make their work more sustainable and impactful.

Thrive and SVCF will also facilitate an Advisory Committee of nonprofit executive directors to guide the process. Current Advisory Committee members include the San Mateo County pilot representatives: Georgia Farooq, Thrive Alliance; Rita Mancera, Puente de la Costa Sur; Malissa Netane-Jones, Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center; and Miriam Yupanqui, Nuestra Casa.
