Policy & Advocacy

Capacity Building

Central to Thrive’s mission is the project to uplift other nonprofits through resources, services, and trainings that enable them to better serve their communities. Though mostly housed under our broader Capacity Building umbrella, the Policy & Advocacy program hosts its own capacity building projects that specifically pertain to, well, policy & advocacy!

Created in partnership with the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits, the Nonprofit Advocacy Series 101 presents introductory trainings to the basics of political advocacy, equipping nonprofits with the skills and tools to begin engaging with local policy.

The Community Safety Resources webpage, a new Thrive project, is a compilation of resources to help our community defend against attacks from the new executive administration. Frequently updated, the page offers support on the major fronts of immigration, advocacy, financial literacy, and more. If you would like to see something added to the page, please email Skye Hathaway.
