County of San Mateo Office of Sustainability: 2021 Youth Climate Ambassadors Program

The County of San Mateo’s Office of Sustainability, in partnership with San Mateo County’s Office of Education, Peninsula Clean Energy, and Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame, has launched a new youth climate change leadership program for 9th - 11th grade students who live or go to school in San Mateo County.

YCA participants will:

Connect with peers across the county and join a network of youth climate leaders
Connect and network with local professionals working on climate change and sustainability
Transform knowledge of climate change into local climate action
Receive funding for their final project (up to $500)
Receive a stipend for completing the program ($500 per student)

Note: Additional support is provided for low income students.
