The Ombudsman Staff Person will work with the Program Manager to cover extra workload and vacation coverage for regional program staff members. This person is responsible for monitoring uncovered facilities and advocating for the rights of residents who live in the long-term care facilities in San Mateo County. Work will be assigned on weekly basis and will vary.
This position will play a strategic role in our dynamic and vibrant organization. In partnership with the SafeSpace Board of Directors and the SafeSpace Youth Board, this individual will oversee and manage the SafeSpace programs. This individual will report directly to the SafeSpace Board.

Activities may include leading movement exercises, arts & crafts, sensory stimulation, gardening, games, and many different avenues for musical expression. The Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII) is seeking a State Policy Manager and Community Organizer to lead the design and implementation of BARHII and Rise Together’s state policy efforts. BARHII, the coalition of the Bay Area's public health departments, and Rise Together, the coalition to end poverty in the Bay Area, are joining forces to create health equity and eliminate poverty. Together, we will address the same social inequities that create extreme poverty and unjust health disparities. This position will convene partners to design strategies, advance policies, and support partnerships between health departments and community to ensure policy solutions advance health equity.
