This position is responsible for helping to maintain a safe, clean environment; ensuring a high level of program quality and working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants and their families. The teacher will provide a positive role model to children within the philosophy of YMCA standards and expectations with emphasis on character counts philosophy.
As a valued member of our team, the Activity Leader works to provide recreational, social, educational activities in a busy, lively, positive environment in a state-of-the-art day center for impaired older adults. Activities may include leading movement exercises, arts & crafts, sensory stimulation, gardening, games, and many different avenues for musical expression. Creativity, sense of humor, enthusiasm and patience are required, as is sensitivity to the needs of older adults with challenges.

Under the direction of the Director of District Improvement and Support, the District Improvement Coordinator will support the planning, organization, coordination and implementation of the SMCOE Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) yearly planning and approval process. They will provide consultation and support for goals and actions for Students with Disabilities, and provide differentiated assistance to districts related to the development and analysis of actions and services designed by school districts to improve outcomes for students in the LCAP. They will use improvement science principles and practices to develop and monitor the implementation of school districts’ goals and actions as well as collaborate with SMCOE team members across divisions.
