CLSEPA is seeking a Grants and Data Manager who understands and believes in the organization's mission and is enthusiastic about ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the impact of their work. This role is responsible for managing the entire grant lifecycle process and overseeing the data systems that support it. Currently, the organization's annual budget stands at $5.3 million, with 69% coming from government grants and 25% from foundation grants. The Grants and Data Manager will collaborate with all stakeholders, including staff, clients, board members, donors, grant makers, and community partners, to ensure that CLSEPA can continue providing transformative legal services to the community.
About Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto:
Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto (CLSEPA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by community leaders engaged in the social justice movement. Our mission is to provide transformative legal services that enable diverse communities in East Palo Alto and beyond to achieve a secure and thriving future. We serve low-income and working-class populations, predominantly communities of color, in the areas of immigration, housing, employment, and reentry law. We maximize our impact by coupling direct services with community education, technical assistance, and policy advocacy.
Responsibilities
Manage the grant lifecycle: oversee all aspects of the grant process, including establishing and maintaining a grant and project tracking system, conduct grant research and identification, draft proposals and reports, track grant contracts, and monitor budget utilization and timely reporting of our deliverables and impact;
Data integrity: Clean, collect, and analyze data related to grants, including tracking grant performance and ensuring compliance with grant requirements;
Lead evaluation and analysis for all aspects of our services and programs, from client experience to impact and outcomes;
Partner with program leaders, the Director of Finance and Operations, and the Executive Director to ensure our supporters understand the impact of our work;
Qualifications
At least four (4)+ years of experience and success in grant administration and management
Experience with using data to drive decisions, strategies, and alignment with organizational goals
Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income populations and communities of color
Knowledge of governmental regulations as they apply to contracting, including local, state, and federal regulations
Experience with learning new software systems and assisting others through the onboarding process
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the organization, external sponsors, and in the community
Experience with a customer relationship management system (we use Neon).

Compensation
This is a full-time exempt position with the following starting annualized salary ranges (dependent on experience):
$85,000-$105,000
The ranges provided are CLSEPA’s reasonable estimates of the base compensation for this/these roles. The actual salary amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
