Peninsula Family Service is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO will play a vital role in leading all financial and administrative support functions. This position involves overseeing the Finance Team, collaborating with advancement and program management, managing relationships with external vendors, and ensuring the effectiveness of information management systems. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional financial management and communication skills, as this is a broad leadership role with significant responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Develop and lead the Finance Team in delivering cost-effective, responsive, accurate, and timely services.
Oversee essential accounting, reporting, and budgeting functions for the organization.
Drive financial planning, analysis, reporting, auditing (internal and external), budgeting, and compliance processes.
Oversee tax, audit, risk management, and administrative functions.
Manage and monitor revenue, expenses, and cash flow to ensure financial sustainability.
Participate in strategic planning with senior management; develop financial policies and operating structures to advance organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, OMB Uniform Guidance, and other funding requirements.
Staff the Finance, Endowment, and Audit Committees of the Board of Directors.
Manage relationships with IT consultants, auditors, investment managers, and other key vendors.
Provide executive-level leadership to assigned program directors, including monitoring service quality, budget compliance, contract performance, and departmental goals.
Lead, coach, and support professional development of direct reports.
Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications
10+ years relevant financial experience, including at least five years in supervision and management.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required or a baccalaureate degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or related field, in compliance with 45 CFR §1302.91(c) fiscal officer requirements.
MBA, MPA, or other advanced degrees preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial management requirements for complex nonprofit organizations, including federal funding and Head Start fiscal compliance.

Strong skills in presenting financial reports to the Board
Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, audit management, and compliance.

Compensation
$224,641.00 - $280,801.00 DOE
