AgeUp is seeking an Ombudsman Volunteer. The role of the Ombudsman Representative involves mediating and negotiating to ensure that issues are resolved, allowing elders to remain safe and well cared for.

Responsibilities
Mediates and negotiates to resolve situations involving elders
Ensures the safety and well-being of the elder
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to advocate for the needs of elders
Patience and empathy in dealing with sensitive issues
Problem-solving skills to handle complex situations
Commitment to the values of care and respect for elders
Qualifications
Age 18+ with a car, driver's license, and insurance.
Must not have worked in a long-term care facility in the past 12 months
Pass a criminal background check
Training (education and shadowing)
Comfort with technology to enter visits and case information.
