In mid-2011, Board Member Patricia Player Maxwell championed bringing this concept to Foster City, joined by a dedicated group of early community leaders. With strong early and ongoing support from the Rotary Club of Foster City and Lee Michelson, CEO of Sequoia Healthcare District, Foster City Village incorporated in February 2012 and officially opened on February 14, 2013, creating a local network of programs, services, and volunteer support to help seniors successfully age in their homes.
