Fixin' San Mateo County: Part Time Community Organizer

Fixin' San Mateo County is looking for a Part-Time Community Organizer to support volunteer recruitment and coordinate community outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, experience in organizing events, and a self-motivated attitude, with a comfort level in using technology such as Google Docs and social media. Bilingual and bicultural applicants are preferred, as the role requires confident public speaking. The position offers a flexible schedule, which may include some evenings and weekends, with compensation set at $30 per hour. The location is in San Mateo County, CA, with a hybrid remote and in-person work model.

About Fixin' San Mateo County:

Fixin’ San Mateo County is a grassroots group made up of local residents. Our Board of Directors is 71% BIPOC, and 71% female. Our membership covers areas from East Palo Alto to South San Francisco, and from Foster City to Half Moon Bay. We are proud to have earned the support of dozens of elected officials representing one third of county residents and community organizations representing more than 5,000 people.
