Supervisor Lisa Gauthier – District 4 - Intern II
San Mateo County Supervisor Lisa Gauthier is seeking a year-round intern for her District 4 office, providing an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various administrative and social media tasks. The intern will learn about county government operations, engage with constituents, attend meetings, and contribute to social media outreach and website development. The position promises valuable insights and collaboration on District 4 projects.
Responsibilities
Learn the workings of County Government
Prepare memos on various local government topics
Handle constituent questions and concerns
Attend internal and external meetings
Engage in social media outreach
Plan and help develop website information and outreach
Collaborate on District 4 projects
Answer office phone and take notes as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To apply, the following criteria must be met:
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must possess a high school diploma or educational equivalent
Must successfully pass a thorough background investigation prior to employment
Preferred: Resident of District 4 (East Palo Alto, Redwood City, Menlo Park, or Unincorporated North Fair Oaks)

Compensation
$23.24 - $29.05 Hourly
